What's the best way to get them removed from plastic cases. those pesyk ones that don't peel off correctly and end up leaving a nasty residue.

Are we talking about DVD/DS cases? If so, I'd recommend removing the title insert (to avoid damage) and get some Goo Gone. That stuff tends to be pretty good at removing adhesive residue.

i usually put the game with a 50/50 mix in sulfuric/hydrochloric acid overnight,

be sure to do it by a window, you may get silly.

1st thing in the morning just wipe it out with the outside layer of a banana peel,
just dont turn any light switches on overnight.

when removing a sticker, heat it up very carefully with a hairdryer.

windex is your best bet, it's very effective and easiest on the plastic (won't haze it).

A friend just told me about using a little cooking oil on a cotton ball. You just put that on top of the sticker, let it set for a little while, then it comes off really easy. I haven't tried it yet, but he sent me a before and after photo of some "VOID" sticker residue from a rental sticker on the side of an N64 cart that he cleaned off this way. I dunno how well it works on boxes and such, but for carts it looks to be a miracle worker. I can never get that stupid rental gunk off!

WD-40 works very well, believe it or not. Make sure to take the insert out first.

Oddly enough, I've had a lot of success getting rid of stickers on cartridges and such using a combination of Windex and Peanut Butter.

First you spray a paper towel with the Windex and apply it to the sticker (or just spray on it once). Then take a small amount of peanut with a spoon and thinly spread it on the leftovers. Clean off the peanut butter, then do another treatment of Windex to get rid of any PB left and to get rid of the peanuty smell.

The Windex will wet the sticker and will probably remove some of it with a bit of effort, and the peanut butter is surprisingly good at getting rid of the residue that often get left behind.
I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

While we're here, you might want to make a note somewhere about how much you paid for the game, and when.

For collection purposes, you know?
