So i'd like to blame this site..... for my sudden interest in imported games.
Originally I just said "oh well" for games like shenmue 2 and many fighting games.
SO import noob has a few question.
How much, I want ps2 and dreamcast for the most part.
Where do i go for the best setup.
I'm mainly doing this to increase my fighter library.

Re: Lost on imports
Fighters are usually expensive, expect to pay over $30 for each once you include shiping costs.
DC modchips are rare, but its very easy to download and burn a bootdisc, you can also try a region mod if you can solder or know someone who can.
PS2 modchips are much more common or you can also go the bootdisc route, though ps2 bootdiscs cannot be downloaded and burned, you'll need to buy them online.

Re: Lost on imports
A Dreamcast requires no mods to play backups of a different region - most files you will find are self-booting as well. While you are tinkering around with some of those games, I'll finally get my ass into gear and get FreeVast working on my PS2. Maybe...
