Battle Fantasia
Battle Fantasia
Ok, so it dropped a couple of weeks ago for the 360. Anybody picked it up yet? How is it?
Re: Battle Fantasia
I played it today at work..it's nowhere as good as the guilty gear series. It all seems kinda generic and the fighting system is very easy and poor. i gave it an hour or so then just put in 3rd strike lol
Re: Battle Fantasia
I've had the JP PS3 version for months now, it's nowhere near as deep as other fighters but it's still got a good system imo; you can 'heat up' your moves to give them extra power, but this drinks your special bar, also theres the Gachi countering system whereby if you press Guard at the right time you can cause a Gachi Match which negates any health-loss from blocking (same as parry in SFIII) and if you press forward and Guard you can perform a Gachi Drive which negates any health-loss from blocking and automatically replies with a counter attack, plus there are a large variety of combos to learn (and a few infinites) - where the game really falls down is in the lack of characters, and the balancing between the characters that are there.
Re: Battle Fantasia
Balance issues, eh? So are they tiered like in SF, or are there characters that are blatantly broken?
Re: Battle Fantasia
Most of the characters are quite even, but there are two that are far more useful than all the others (Cedric & Ashley) and two which are comparatively useless (Olivia & Watson), also the Gachi Drive system seems a little off as some characters are far more suceptable to it than others - the character roster only cosists of 12 fighters and overall seems a bit weak, beyond my main (Ashley) and secondary (Coyori) I rarely use many of the other characters.
