Forum members interested in Wipeout HD tourney?

Post by dsheinem »

Since it seems that quite a few of you have the game, how many would be up for an organized tournament? I know I am not very good in the online racing I've done, but would still try to give you a run for your money (so to speak).

Who'd be interested in doing something this coming Sunday? Maybe around 11:00 am or 12:00 noon ET? That way some of the Euro members could play at a reasonable hour, too...

Let me know your thoughts. If there's interest in this maybe we could make it a regular thing (and include other games).

Damn - I would be interested but my Internet connection has gone haywire lately. I'm troubleshooting now, and plan to get the game when I can actually access PSN...

Excellent!

Sounds like a plan - I vote 12.00 noon ET - that's 5pm in the UK I think (correct me if I'm wrong)

I'll be there, whether or not using motion controls is stll to be decided...

I haven't played with motion controls - isn't it less precise?

It's gotta be less precise in a kind of digital / on off sense, but it feels like you can make smoother motions, which seems particularly appropriate in wipeout where you mostly want to run a smooth course... jury's out for me, i've been trying it with motion controls on and still using th D-pad, which is just weird...

Ok - it might be a small tourney but it's a tourney nonetheless. I'll sign on around 11:30 ET today and we can race for a couple of hours for whoever is interested.

Hope to see you out there (you'll probably be passing my slow ass).
