Just picked up Rez for the ps2
Just picked up Rez for the ps2
I dont see why people prefer the Dreamcast version of rez vs the ps2. The only thing I could see is you can use a VGA adapter with the Dreamcast. But other than that. Id stick to the ps2 version.
Re: Just picked up Rez for the ps2
I don't think anyone has really claimed that the Dreamcast one was better.
However, now, you're better off with the XBLA version

Dont have a xbox360! Doh! PS3 Would love to see it in HD though.
Re: Just picked up Rez for the ps2
yeah from what i understand the ps2 and dc versions are the same except ps2 gets vibration brick (wow so tempted to write vibrator on that one) and dc version gets vga.
BEST version is RezHD from 360.
Personally, i prefer DC for everything because i luv my dc. But realistically same thing. At the time I bought my dc version they hadn't made another print run of ps2 version and was just as rare and expensive

Like I've said in other threads, Rez is superior on PS2. Savor it, because nearly all other DC-to-PS2 ports are crap.

superior? how?Mozgus wrote:Like I've said in other threads, Rez is superior on PS2. Savor it, because nearly all other DC-to-PS2 ports are crap.
Re: Just picked up Rez for the ps2
I wouldn't mind to pick up Rez for the PS2, but it's usually rather overpriced. There is a copy of Rez for 29.99 at a local Gamestop that has been sitting on the shelves for at least six months. Since Rez HD is $10, there's not really any reason to pick up a PS2 version for 3x as much...

FWIW, I have a copy of this game that I'd like to sell. I'd like to get at least $30 out of it, though. As was said, it's cheap on the 360, but I'd like to recoup some of the cost (I bought it a few years ago for $40).
Re: Just picked up Rez for the ps2
DC version is locked at 30fps. PS2 runs at the full 60. Makes a huge difference in a game like this. Also the analog control just works better. Don't ask me how.gennss wrote:superior? how?Mozgus wrote:Like I've said in other threads, Rez is superior on PS2. Savor it, because nearly all other DC-to-PS2 ports are crap.

Re: Just picked up Rez for the ps2
I'd pay that price just to have it on my shelf with my other games. Guess that's just the collector in me. I own both the PS 2 version and the 360 one and I damn well plan on getting the Dreamcast version one day. Why? Because the game is just damn awesome I'm happy to buy it three times and I'm a cheapskate. I will own every version of Castlevania:Symphony of the Night one day as wellRackGaki wrote:I wouldn't mind to pick up Rez for the PS2, but it's usually rather overpriced. Yeah, I LOVE those two games, if it isn't already obvious
