Does anyone here use NDS Flashcards?

Well the title kind of says it. Do you use them?
Which one do you have? Are you satisfied with it?
Would be cool to hear about your experience with them and what opinions you got.
I'll be getting my first flash card hopefully tomorrow otherwise i'll have to wait till monday :/

I use a R4DS and have been completly satisfied with it. It works perfectly and my 2gb microSD card holds enough games to get me by. However, I bought my card at the begining of the year, and with the recent developments in SDHC it is outdated technology. If you can find a card that supports SDHC that is the one to go for, allows you to use cards up to 32gb (although they havn't been made yet, it's a theoretical maximum). I may be wrong but I belive the CycloDS uses SDHC, and I think a couple of people on the forum use it and are happy.

In conclusion, R4DS is good but old, newer cards support SDHC which might be important to you.

Edit: Sorry didn't read the last sentance properly...
Which one did you actually get? I'll leave my post up for people searching for it to help them rather than delete 5 mins of writing!

There's a new SHDC-compliant R4 on sale now. It's a pretty straightforward affair, but if you're having a hard time there's plenty of helpful videos on Youtube.

I have an old R4DS, I'm completely happy with it. You can fit loads of games on 2GB. Especially if you use the tool to get rid of dummy data.

Well i chose the Acekard 2 because it supposedly has 100% compatibility, is rather cheap (got it for 29€) and an easy and nice menu. Other than that i read that it is compatible with the EZ V Flash 3in1 which i also got my self (for 19€).

So in conclusion i spent around 53€ (with shipping) and have a good allround set for NDS and GBA. Compared to the CycloDS which costs 49€ this is quite a bargain in my opinion.

By the way i don't care about RTS or Cheating or Slowdown stuff. I rather play the games the way they were intendet. I don't know though if i can run Linux on it and i hope that they solved the Lag in Castlevania the way it was promised according to the news.

Oh and i also appreciate that the EZ V Flash 3in1 doesn't stick out the way GBA Games do and that the colors of both Cards match the color of my NDS :)

I went with a CycloDS, best choice I've ever made! While it is expensive you do get a great support team, and great features with it. Never had any problems with mine, love it. If you care about price, go with the Acekard 2, they are currently $23 from dealextreme. I've ordered two for friends, and I've played with it a little and love it!

Did you by chance play Castlevania DoS with your Acekard?

Unfortuantely no I didn't. Though it should run fine, it usually depends on the microSD rather than the actual flashcard to wether it runs good or not.

Well according to these news it should run fine on any card now. I haven't been able to dig up more info about that though :/

I went with the Supercard DS One v3, but the firmware had quite a few issues with games. It tries to do too much, and loses focus on game compatibility, which is all I wanted. Luckily, the firmware from the DSTT card works on this card, and it's much better. Suddenly, Castlevania DoS's intro no longer stutters, Space Invaders no longer crashes, the save files arent limited to short character names, and many other advantages.
