Me Gots A DS Lite!

Post by racketboy »

My wife got me a DS Lite and Brain Age for my birthday today.
And I must say both the hardware and the software rocks.

I can see what the hype is about on Brain Age -- the presentation and interface is extremely well-done. it also feels so natural to play the training and sudoku games while holding the device sideways. The handwriting and speech recognition works pretty well also.

I do believe I'm in love...

I probably won't bother with the DS until the flash scene for it improves. Anyway, Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday, and Congratulations!

I've played Big Brain Academy, but have yet to try Brain Age. Last weekend a anime convention was held (Yasumicon 2006) and many people brought their DS's. We had a large Nintendo DS LAN party. Most of the PictoChat rooms were full, and others were playing Mario Kart DS. Some of my recommendations for your new console include:

Big Brain Academy
New Super Mario Bro.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Mario Kart DS

As for Wi-Fi games visit wikipedia

Thanks guys!
Anybody played Advance Wars DS?
I have AW2 for the GBA and love it.
Looks like it hasn't come down in price much though :(

Yes, the DS version is very good and you will enjoy it if you are an Advance Wars fan, or have played previous versions of Advance Wars. Sadly DS games seem to remain at a stable price point for a long time before there are any price drops. http://www.cheapassgamer.com/ is a great site to find all of the latest deals on games among other things.

Happy Birthday and Congratulations on the DS. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing.

Just be careful if opening it the full 180 degrees.

Seems to be very uncommon though, and I wouldn't believe the reports of new cracks.

Happy Birthday!

Congrats on the DS! Definitely get Super Mario 64 and Final Fantasy III when it's released!
