iTunes is the gay

Who else is really getting annoyed more and more every day with this pile of junk.

I could use other software for managing my iPod, but others just suck as well. Winamp for some reason can't play aac files on my computer. It just freezes.
RythymBox on my Linux machine is great, but everytime I use it to transfer music my iPod doesn't recognize any of its music anymore.

I have an iPod and I like to transfer my music to it, duh. I don't want ALL my music transferred though, 10,000 songs is just to much to sort through when you're on the go. When I use iTunes, the only thing that is pretty much compatible with the thing, it freaks out. I put together a list of say 4000 songs I want on my 80 gig iPod. Well... you would think this isn't that hard... drag, drop, wait for the transfer to complete.

NO... drag, freeze, freeze, chicka chicka, iTunes crashes. Restart, 2000 songs, drag, freeze, drag, freeze, drag... drop... transfer 2 songs... CRASH

Has anyone else had this problem before? I have to leave mine on 'sync' to transfer music... but I don't like that. I don't need all that SilentHill soundtrack stuff in my car... I sleep to that not drive to it. Same goes for about 60% of my collection.

You shouldn't have have sync selected. Create a playlist, drag and drop. Thats it. Mine works perfect.

I've been hanging out at the wrong part of the internet the past few weeks. The speech is kinda effecting me and bleeding over to here. Either way, I don't care... speech is just speech. I'm not pointing hatred fingers at anyone. Ignorance isn't uncommon, you may consider me ignorant in speech, when I just may be. But that doesn't mean I'm 100% ignorant. I'd probably consider you ignorant of other things more important to me... do you really care? Probably not.

That's my point though, I have to sync, because when I do the play list it freezes and crashes.


Oh and I wasn't saying Katrina victims were complaining, I was talking about the news glamourizing it, and how all of us who actually live here are like "ok, we get it, life here sucks. Now give me some freakin' news instead of putting me in the spotlight." You know I am from here where the hurricanes are... I wasn't making fun of my peers. I'm just tired of hearing the same news over and over about Gustav is hitting New Orleans, repetitively, when 2 other storms are right behind it... bigger and more threatening... and I would like to know if I should prepare myself.

I have many gripes with iTunes, including similar ones to yours. Who on earth wants their entire library synched every time? And so, I also have problems trying to manually transfer music. It should be the easiest thing in the world, but somehow it isn't. I just want to grab the files and throw them on here (iPhone). I know I suck with computers, but come on, iTunes is my least favourite of all my programs because I have way more problems with it than any other. It is supposed to be simple and intuitive, but I just find it frustrating.

I have no IPod/IPhone but i'm using MediaMonkey which i find great for sorting and listening to music and i know that it has Plugins for them.

itunes sucks. If this ipod I have ever goes dead I ain't buying another apple mp3.

and about the gay thing... man you should play wow. gay is used as much as lol.

my favorite thing was when our guild master kicked a member we asked why and he said "Cause he called doomhammer gay"
and someone answers " But doomhammer IS gay" so the GM invited him back (I don't think he used gay as a curse though)

For awhile I tried to use alternatives to all popular Mac programs. I can't remember what program I used instead of iTunes, but it sucked too.

In regards to "gay", it's just a bad habit. After listening to a Nick Swardson album, I became comfortable saying "retarded," which I regret to this day. Don't get me wrong- I'm an awful person who is going to go to hell, and saying "retarded" is the least of my worries, but it's just not needed, like "gay."

I have had problems to when I sync my old ipod it gives me a unknown error message and stops syncing and then I have to press sync ipod again. What I do to shorten the syncing process is make a playlist on itunes and sync only the playlist instead of my whole library. Theres a dropbox on the the bottom that says sync from and then I choose the playlist I want. I hope this helps!
