Does Anybody Still Play on an actual GB/GBC?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Anybody else miss the contrast dial  ? I'd use them from time to time if I still had them, but now I only play them when I hang out with this old friend of mine and we feel like playing some Mega Man (GB), Pokemon Red/Blue, ect. I've been thinking of buying them again, especially after recently discovering the existence of the Game Boy Light  .

I refuse to play on actual cartridges anymore. Not after my Pokemon Red cart decided its battery would die, permenantly deleting my save (and a damn good save at that). I use lameboy most of the time. I do miss the green tinged screen on the orginal fat gb though.

I play exclusively on the original hardware. GB for monochrome games and GBC for colour games. You can't beat that green and black smudge when playing Link's Awakening! Seriously I just like the look better, and its also got that retro chic look that makes me feel cool when I play it :P People have come up to me and said "Wow I remember those, still have mine at home, gonna go play it when I get home" That's always pretty cool.

I use a few GB Classics for a LSDJ project I'm working on. I use a tetris and extra batteries I carry in my car to test GB's I find at the thrift stores and yard sales.

At the moment, I have no handhelds at all. So it's Super Gameboy for monochrome games, and Gameboy Player for GBC and GBA.
