Mame32 FX

Post by nateup2 »

Sorry to be so high maintainence, but I also cant get Mame32 FX to recognize my roms. It recognized NARC and one of the revisions of Mortal Kombat (although with errors dont know why), and golden axe (also with errors - why?) but when I deleted and tried different revisions it will no longer recognize any roms besides the NARC one that I havent messed with. Really irritating... prob something obvious I am missing.

Thanks

One of the biggest problems I have with mame is that the ROMs change almost EVERY time a new version of MAME (or a new kind like Mame32FX, etc) is released.

There are 'versions' of ROMs, and you most likely have a ROMset that is for MAME Version X.XX when you have the emulator version of X.YY

I never understood why they couldn't maintain backwards compatibility. It's not like the chips on the boards are changing, so why do the ROMs change?
