Limited Edition N64 pad, is this for real?

Post by Curlypaul »

Is this for real? or has this guy made a hybrid out of 2 broken cased controllers. I've been looking at the vast array of limited edition controllers nintendo did for the N64, but no where can I find a mention of a red and green one.

As your sig says, Its a Trap! Looks cool though, but not a limited edition.

Man, I've eaten lot of brains since the last time I checked.

Anyhoo, I thought as much but the Japanese 2 tone pads with the white bottom halfs made me think that it might just be for real.

Now that I've run out of room for consoles and I already have more games than I could realistically play, collecting controllers seems the next logical step.

Nice for some, I'm still on the look out for a cheap NES, SNES and Mega Drive 2. But I'm only willing to spend a pittance on them as I already have enough to keep me going what with my Saturn and Dreamcast. Desperatly need a VMU for the Dreamcast, I've played the 1st level of Sonic Adventure like 20 times!!!

Not to jump topic but I saw the seller is selling this pad also...

Other than the 3D0 pad, this SNES controller is the worst I've ever used in my life. Stiff to the point of unusable.

Wow, brings back memories of 2nd grade where me and my friend would play DKC with one of those. He would eat sour cream and onion chips while playing and leave me with a greasy controller when it was my turn. :?

BTW who screen stretched this thread?

Lol... I actually have two of those (without the yellowing). I bought a Retro Duo and the controllers that come with it are horrible. All I could find on eBay were those crappy SNES controllers labeled as "new", but they are really knockoffs. Anyway, I settled for the SN ProPads instead (one was new in the box).

They aren't too bad, but I really want to track down an official SFC or PAL SNES controller.

Are they that hard to find?

They sure are hard to find in the UK, best bet is buying a SNES with some controllers with it and hoping the pads arent already pumelled to death. All my SNES friends were well into to street fighter and all their pads were dragon punched to death whille they were still current gen so I reckon the chances of finding a good one are pretty slim.

Thats why the jap only SNES wii controller was such a waste

Looks to me like somebody took a red and a green pad and swapped the halves. I bet there's a green controller with a red bottom on it somewhere :P.

Since when were controllers for systems deemed rare? Surely there were more controllers produced than systems...
