Geist ~ That one exclusive FPS for Gamecube
Geist ~ That one exclusive FPS for Gamecube
Did anyone else play this? I picked it up, along with Viewtiful Joe (totally mastered it years ago) and Baten Kaitos (previously only beat disc 1) for $21. So far, I'm having a good time. The frame rate dips, the graphics are inconsistently good, and the audio has drop outs and glitches as if it cant handle many layers of sound effects at the same time, but besides that, this is a pretty unique FPS. For those who don't know, you are a ghost that can posses people, animals, and objects. There's more than one way to play. For example, instead of charging into a room and using my host body to gun everyone down, I might try possessing an explosive device and detonating it when they get near.

I would have totally enjoyed this more with a better right analog stick. The aiming recticle seemed off to me (and yes, I'm using 1st party/wavebird).

It really is horrible. The funniest part was the DDR-like puzzle with the antique music thing. My first party controller absolutely couldnt register the upward motion. I tried for 5 min but couldnt do it. I plugged in a 3rd party pad that handles worse in games like Smash Bros, but here, it worked for that puzzle just fine.Metalcrack wrote:I would have totally enjoyed this more with a better right analog stick.
