my Sega Saturn Stunner gun is broken. Is $10 new good price

Post by retroman »

i found my saturn in my garage a month ago. I havent got to play it since i found it. last week though i tried playing my shooter games and i found that my stunner gun is broken. I looked online and $10 is the cheapest i found for a new one. (i dont want ebay ones)
is this a good price?

By broken do you mean not functioning or physically busted? if its the former then you could try changing the switch as described here as that sorted out my dead gun.

But then again, that sounds like a good deal to me. In the UK a used one in box normally fetches about £10 so as a collectot I'd be tempted to buy it anyway

$10 is a very good price for a stunner gun.

I highly recommend changing the switch, even on a working stunner. the link posted by Curlypaul is to my step-by-step tutorial on a switch upgrade. the difference in response time/percentage is amazing. you can get cherry microswitches dirt cheap from many places online, won't take much searching at all. My local arcade operator doesn't mind giving me a few from time to time either, but i've known him a long time.

do you think the same mod would work for the PAL Virtua Gun?
i only ask because i see them for same price as the stunner at bestsku.com
