saturn import recomendations?

I got a mod chip ordered, and i have an action replay 4m on its way (so i should be able to play backups and imports, right?) i need some import recomendations. I mostly play rpg's, however i don't speak/read any japanese so they are kinda out of the question. so i was wanting to play some good games that the language barrier doesnt come into play too much. could you recomend:
2d shooters - along the lines of contra and metal slug.
2d beat em ups - street fighter/double dragonish
paltformers
something unique that doesnt fit the other genres and is a must play
