As a gigantic fan of the genre, I would like to know if there are any good, or even decent, tactical rpgs for sega's white box.
For those not familiar with the genre... and those who simply are confused by my wording, a couple of example are the fire emblem series, final fantasy tactics series and well, anything that really looks like this
I'm just looking for anything close. Even if it's scarce on the rpg elements like advance wars, that's good with me.
By the way, the game in the picture is Jeanne de Arc for the psp and it's fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

Thats kinda what I was thinking....but TimeStalkers isn't all that great IMO. Better for the shmups and fighters...plus all the odd ball games like Bangai-O.

Sega master system, Sega genesis, Sega saturn(mod), Dreamcast, Nes, Super nes, Turbografx-16, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Gamecube, X-box 360.
hmmm, Well they don't have to be too good necessarily or Japanese if that's hindering your search. I would consider the fallout games in the tactical rpg genre as well if that helps at all. Thanks for helping so far though.

I really don't think there are many Tactical/SRPGs on the Dreamcast - there might be one or two in the Japanese back-catalogue I don't know about though. The Saturn is really Sega's best console when it comes to SRPGs (Dragon Force 1 & 2, Langrisser 1-5, Shining Force III parts 1, 2 & 3, Terra Phantastice, Wachenroder, Chaos Seed etc)

The problem is not knowing the language is a bit hard on this genre - I read about Chaos Seed recently and it seems so interesting.
The problem is the japanese

i now want a psp.
If that makes you want a PSP, then you really need a PSP because there's a lot of great TRPG's.
The only one I've played is Shining Force for Genesis. I played the first few battle and liked it. I plan on playing FF Tactics on PSP just as soon as I finish FF6 and FF7. After that I suspect I will succumb to the deluge of TRPGs for PSP.
