Awesome!

Great Choice, I've never played this and probably never would have if it was not for this club. I'll post again when I've got home from work and given it a thorough work through on my Dreamcast.

Thanks for that, Racketboy. I haven't played this game, but it looks like great fun.

I'm not sure if you meant players as well as opponents when you said "five opponents" but, to be sure, how many players can play at a time in the Genesis version?

sweet i actually have this one already, one of my grampa's friends gave me a box full of game stuff that was full of nes, genesis, and atari 2600 systems and games. it had RC Pro Am, and i didnt try it out untill i read Fastbilly1 full review. it was impressive for an nes game, very fun

i had that game as a kid. I might buy it again to remember old times.
the game could be bought here: RC Pro Am

shipping on that site works out best when you buy more things.

Hey thanks Jack, I am glad you enjoyed it. That was actually for a contest and upon rereading it it needs alittle touch up...

Yep, my brothers and i played this game to death, back in the day! We loved it... it's my favorite racing game on the nes, and the sequel is great too!

This is going to bring back some fun memories!

I saw this at Goodwill the other day, but I don't own a NES.

Now I understand where my favourite racer on the Atari ST, 'SuperSprint' came from... Also, RC Pro Am 2 does seem to genuinely add improved gameplay imo.

I always enjoyed playing this game for a few minutes; it is easy to learn and the controls are very tight. But there are just a couple things that kept it from being a true AAA title in my mind:

1) No two-player support

2) Unbalanced difficulty curve--early levels are trivially easy and later levels are nigh impossible due to unbalanced vehicle advantage given to one of the CPU-controlled cars (i.e. it is not about your racing skill at the end; your car is clearly inferior)

3) No password to allow starting at the later races immediately if you are not in the mood for the simplicity of the earliest tracks
