Nice MGS collection, and I agree regards Blade Runner, one of my favourite adventure games :D And is it my imagination, or is that a joint I see behind the MGS premium box?

Haven't really got any comprehensive pics of most of my collection, but here's my most recent additions; a crap load of Megadrive stuff -

Megadrive 2 with region & 50/60hz switches & MegaCD 2 with region switch;

As for stuff not pictured, i've got a load more DC & Saturn games, a large PS2 collection (now mostly useless as my modded PS2's broken) plus a PS3, Wii & 360.

Wow, you guys have such brilliant collections! I admire the time taken to shoot the pictures! How long have all three of you been building your collections for? I think that's another good question. But as for the topic...

Sure, why not?

I got interested in retro games, cheers to this site, much later than most of you and for that my retro collection shows prematurity. The retro side has only started building for a couple of years, now. Yeah, this might be the wrong forum for showing my collection, seeing as there is quite a portion of games that lean towards the 21st Centuary. But I hope you guys enjoy my pictures none the less!

By the way, I had to resize them from 2592x1944 to 648x486. So, please excuse the pixelation. My hands were slightly shakey and, while you may be able to point that out now, it's a lot less noticable from the smaller size.

So, here's a shot of the family:

Image

Big. Small. Say what you will, my collection is VERY incomplete... However, that isn't to say I love each game on that floor there! And none of them got a foot through them, hooray!

Right, so now I'll segregate my games into platform order, so you can get a better look.

Image

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

*sob*... Where did my MegaDrive go? I'll have to buy another, mainly for Snatcher and for Sonic and Knuckles but for various others as well.

Image
Image

Conker's Bad Fur Day (should I buy the Xbox version, too?)
Perfect Dark

I have some other games for the 64 but they aren't worth mentioning and I don't "show in public". They came with the 64, so bleh! I mainly bought this for Rareware games, for the Gold OOT cartridge and for Space Station Silicon Valley.

Image
Image

Policenauts (Limited Edition. Came with a nice plastic sleeve and an Artwork Book, too!)

Yeah. My only game for Saturn... and I can't even run it. Out of the two Saturns (if you can make them out, sorry for the seasick image), only the left one works (Model 2, thank god!). My system is a PAL one so I'm going to need to make an image and install a modchip. Speaking of modchips, Racketboy, do you have any? My console should be able to have one fitted. Here is a picture I took of the insides so somebody could give me the "all clear".

Image

Image
Image

bleemcast for Metal Gear Solid (I'll buy the retail discs soon, okay! Probably with the Essential Collection)
Chu Chu Rocket
Power Stone (I think I'll sell this and get Power Stone 2, or maybe the compilation for PSP)
Shenmue (No cardboard sleeve... Oh well! I'm contemplating which console to purchase Shenmue II on)
Rayman 2
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Crazy Taxi
Skies of Arcadia (I'm willing to sell this. Any takers? I'd rather buy the GCN version, sorry...)
Dead or Alive 2
MDK2 (HARD!)
Sonic Adventure
Space Channel 5 (Gotta buy a Dance Mat for this game!)
The House of the Dead 2 (LIGHTGUN ACTION! YAY! Might get it on Wii)
Jet Set Radio (I'll buy the sequel on Xbox, too)
Quake III: Arena (Should have bought a more relevent FPS)
Soul Calibur (Nice, but I think I'll get the XBLA version instead. Everybody and their grandmothers have this game though...)
Virtua Fighter 3tb (Yeah, I know you can't see it)

I'm pleased I got a Dreamcast. Everything you can see was all imported from England while I was on my holiday last year. Joy! Bless Gamestation and their retro game stock. Such a rare sight in these parts. I've never seen a game older than Playstation/N64 era in New Zealand. EVER. Well, appart from my own... Says a lot, doesn't it?

Image
Image

Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts II (I'm going to sell this and buy KH2: Final Mix + instead)
God of War (to tell you the truth, it's actually God of War 2 inside there. The guy at the counter got them mixed up. Good saving, too!)
ICO
Shadow of the Colossus (Limited Edition, I might add)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (worst in the series, but that means nothing. They're all fantastic!)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (I can't decide which is better: this, the first or 4?)

Small handful there, but I love them all. I'd look into Persona 3 FES, Metal Gear Solid: TES (for MGS1), Final Fantasy X, Metal Slug Anthology and NiGHTS into Dreams, but I need a modchip. SwapMagic won't cut it! And I also need to start a PS1 collection, also

Image

Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc (I have a second sealed copy. What's your offer? I need the Japanese version also!)
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (I'm going to sell it and get the Japanese Anniversary Pack)
Viewtiful Joe (I'll buy the sequel, as well!)
Pokemon Colosseum
Resident Evil (might buy Zero also. On Wii or GCN?)
Starfox Adventures
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords +
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Luigi's Mansion
killer7 (Play it! One of my personal favourites! It deserves your attention!)
Timesplitters 2 (is the sequel any good?)
Eternal Darkness: SR (Make a sequel, Silicon Knights!)
Super Mario Sunshine
Resident Evil 4 (Limited Collectors Edition. Released in AUS/NZ areas only, I believe...)
F-Zero GX
Metroid Prime
Super Smash Bros. Melee (I need to get Brawl instead!)
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (another Limited Edition. Nice OOT bonus, but I want the gold cart. too)
Super Monkey Ball
Sonic Gems Collection
Metroid Prime 2 (Dud. Bought it from the UK and it was more scratched than eczema!)

No Gamecube, I sold that for my backwards-compatible Wii (see below). I might rebuy it... for imports sake. The Gamecube is, with the Dreamcast a close second, my favourite console. I think it has a brilliant diversity of games, that appeal to me at least. A shame it didn't take off, but then again, that could be it's charm.

Image
Image

Bioshock (Limited Edition. But it was announced for the PS3 with exclusive content! Grr, sell away!)
The Orange Box (What? Yeah, my PC isn't adequete enough to hang out with the cool kids on the real TF2. The one that Valve actually likes.)

Yeah, not a lot I like on the 360. Halo isn't my thing, to be honest. On the inside (the HDD that is) is Psychonauts, Indigo Prophecy and Rez HD. I want to get Ninja Gaiden II and Beautiful Katamari, whee! I'll be using it as an Xbox player as well.

Image
Image

Super Mario Galaxy (Fun.)
No More Heroes (Made by the same people as killer7, this is good too!)
Wii Sports (What a suprise, eh?)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (This is an awesome game, also)
Pokemon Battle Revolution
Freeloader for Wii (Why did Nintendo have to patch over it in firmware 3.3, damnit!)

(absent: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption)

Yay! The Wii is fun, but the lack of competition against the PS3 and 360 seems to make Nintendo lazy. Although I think Nintendo is trying to fix their mistakes by handing the limelight to third-party games, it doesn't help when the games they make are no better than to dig holes with! Anyway, appart from those I'd like to buy Okami, SSBB, Zack and Wiki, Fatal Frame 4 and Madworld. On the inside is Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels, Kirby's Adventure, Gunstar Heroes, Super Metroid, Sin and Punishment and Paper Mario.

And I guess I better cap it off with my handheld games...

Image

...Yeah, thanks for nothing, R4! I really need to buy the good 'uns but I've got so many other things to buy and years of gaming to catch up on! Pokemanz, let me show you them.

...So, from my count that is 75 games, including Diablo II + Expansion and the games saved on the 360 + Wii.

To wrap this up, I wouldn't mind knowing where I could improve on. Right now I'm looking for various things such as an SNES, Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie, Snatcher for Sega CD, Marvel vs. Capcom2, Beyond Good and Evil, Prince of Persia: SOT, etc. What do you suggest?

So, is anybody sure if there are any spare Sega Saturn Modchips on Racketboy's site? I couldn't find any...

Thanks for the great thread idea, Boaby Kenobi! I like to see another MGS fan, gotta buy a PS3! It was fun to make this post!

Cheers!

I'll get the names and the number of the games I own up in a few hours. I can't take pictures, there's way too many. But I have finished the list for my room, I'll take a look at the other rooms to see how many there are.

So far I've counted over 170 games, and I expect to reach 350 by the time I'm finished.
