Good stuff. The guy should have calibrated his capture card before hand though. That's way too bright and faded. Also, he shouldn't have compressed the jpg's down so much. It's especially terrible in the Daytona USA pics.

For years my only old school gamer friend would say to me that there was NO difference between coaxial all the way up to svid. I would fight with him constantly trying to inform him of the truth... due to his necessity to wear glasses and my rather cheap TV I couldn't make a clear enough point to him.

I then learned that his test station at home was using a switch box that had an RF modulator built into it. He was hooking everything up svideo... but using the RF modulator to send it to his television... and this was what he was using as grounds for it.

We then fought even more because he couldn't understand that the conversion process is going to destroy all the quality of the signal because he has ended the line with God Damn RF!!!!

7 years later he bought himself a nice TV and started using Svid and Component when accesible. He had since forgotten the battles the ensued many years before and for some time was trying to tell me the wonders of Svid and Component... I nodded my head and said "yes... yes... that is why I've been using it for 8 fucking YEARS!"

For sometime he went about thinking he introduced me to Svid... but again due to his lack in memory has since forgotten even those battles and it is all moot. But I still remember... oh do I remember! He was talking to a boy who has been repairing televisions and computer monitors since I was 10... how can one inform ME of the advantages of Svideo... especially when they say "that GBRR doo hicky shit mang!"

"You mean RGB right?"

"RG Huh!?"

Thanks for the link!
I think I saw this a while back, but was trying to find it again.

I must say one thing, however, you don't really notice THIS much of a difference if you have a standard definition TV.
