Yep, I'm moved, and got my internet turned on. The only furniture I have is a bed and the only PS2 game I've got with me is Fatal Frame 2 and no memory card. But my computer is set up at least! Everything else is slowly being trucked across state to me...
This sucks. I've spent the last three days working on a MUGEN game. I am incredibly bored.
So I moved...
At least you have Internet access -- that can be quite tricky getting right away when moving....
Glad you got settled ok though

There's something magical about being partially moved, and severely limited on entertainment. It makes you appreciate things you overlooked for so long. When I moved 6 years ago, I cruised through Star Ocean 2 and fell in love with it, beating it 3 times, doing just about everything possible. I did all this on an antique TV through an RF adaptor to Y-shaped fork connection. And I had a FAQ I brought via floppy disc and used on an old abandoned Win95 100mhz machine.
haha -- that's awesome and a very good point!Mozgus wrote:There's something magical about being partially moved, and severely limited on entertainment. Well, I have been doing some reading. I picked up a textbook on Japanese history that I've slowly been going through. I'm currently at the end of the late Heian period, when the samurai culture really begins its upswing. Meanwhile I've been working on two MUGEN games, a Marvel vs. DC game(though those guys at scruffydragon.com seem to be doing a lot better), and a game with only female characters. I wanted to see how many girls actually appeared in fighting games, and the answer is...not a lot. I managed to get about 400, but in comparison there are literally thousands of male characters, and I had to resort to a few "tricks", like using teams where one member is female and the other is nonhuman or feminine machines. I suppose it sparks from a conversation I had with my mother a decade ago about Mortal Kombat potentially being sexist because you could hit girls in it(regardless that they could hit you back). However while most series only have a small number of female characters, some series are literally loaded with them, like Melty Blood, or fighters based on animes with many female characters like Sailor Moon.
But the important thing is this...

Somebody made a Deadpool character. Bring out the chimmy changas and Bea Arthur porn.
