Thoughts on Battlefield: Bad Company

I'm planning on picking this up soon. I played the demo on Live to death. How does the full game stack up? Are the maps plentiful, are they just as good, if not better than the demo map Oasis? Are the servers handling good? Is there more than just gold crates to online play?

Tell me what you think about this game. Does it stack up against CoD4?

I think it's great. New maps are fun and the weapon unlocks are great too. The only problems are the lack of squad control and no conquest mode, both of which will be updated very soon.
