So I was in a store called Replay earlier today, and discovered a copy of Fatal Frame 2 for the PS2 for $20.00. I check it and see that it comes with the instruction booklet, and Replay cleans the disk before they give it to me, then give me a 30-day guarantee to make sure the game works.
Last I checked, this game was worth way over $20.00. I've seen it fluctuate in price from $30.00-$50.00 on eBay, and there are copies for sale on Amazon right now for $40.00. I'm feeling pretty good about myself. The others are going for a pretty good amount too, but I only own the first one. Anybody know a good reason why all three of these are going for so much?
And for those that don't know, they're excellent SH titles. Seriously.
Fatal Frame series
Combine rarity with a growing fanbase, and you have a winner.
If you're buying to sell, wait until Fatal Frame IV comes out in the States, when interest will be peaked. I sold a copy of MGS1 for $6 two months ago. Now, everyone's played MGS4 and they want to revisit the series, so I sold another copy (in worse condition) for $20. Go figure.
