Nintendo S-Video questions

i just won a set of 2 PELICAN Nintendo S-Video/AV Cables it says its for GameCube and Nintendo 64 but wont this also work on snes? well i hope they do anyway, who uses an svid on an snes, does the picture quality look any better?

It's better than RF and standard AV cables, so yes, the clarity will look noticeably better.

I bought an S-Video cable for my SNES on this site, but for some reason there's a purplish area on the top right corner of the screen, but other than that - it's decent.

It will work on the original SNES model, but the model 2 (the small one) doesn't output s-vid.

You can still get Nintendo-made S-video cables in Japan or on import web sites if you want the real McCoy~

if there is a purplish area there is probably interference. make sure your cables arent running close to a power supply or anything of that like.
