360 users: DRM tool now available

Post by Doctor Fugue »

Great news, if a little slow in coming. Haven't tried it myself but I feel a little better if I want to download things on other consoles, or have to buy a new console, or decide to upgrade the hard drive.

Downloaded content is great and easy to access compared to discs, but I always feel like I don't actually "own" anything.

I'm going to do this tonight. I've got about thirty or so XBLA games that won't work unless connected to Live.

Let us know if it works. I actually just had mine transferred a couple weeks ago by MS, but I had to wait 2 months before they did it.

Ok I just went through the process and now all my XBLA games work offline. :D

At first I was caught off guard because the Xbox website said I had 147 licenses, but it counts all the demos and videos you've ever downloaded as well. I'm so glad MS put this into effect this week, because I'm moving in two days and won't have internet access at home for a few weeks.

This is amazing news, I had not heard anything about this. I feel a lot better about downloading things now. I have 47 Arcade games, and multiple downloaded content expansions for my retail games that I was getting worried about losing if my console died. I feel confident now in downloading the stuff I want. Bravo Microsoft for fixing this problem.
