The Apprentice Shows Off His Game Area 56K EPIC WARNING

Post by The Apprentice »

Been wanting to do this for a while!

My game chair. Works wirelessly, I'll explain the awesome setup I have in a moment.

The area overall.

My two arcade sticks for the saturn. I got these brand new in their original boxes off of ebay.

This shows where my N64 is hidden. It's actually not that hard to reach. Also, the first half of my Saturn collection is visible.

The other half to my Saturn collection, my Dreamcast collection, and my Xbox collection

The other shelf in my room has the Genesis and PS2 games, as well as the N64 carts

The crown jewel in my collection. I spray painted the lid of a Sega Sports Dreamcast with a peice of masking tape over the swirl badge that was cut to the correct shape with a razor blade.

Okay, now to explain the setup. The Ps2 plugs into the DVD player that the N64 sits on, which hooks into the AV amp next to my TV. The Dreamcast hooks into the AV amp, along with the Genesis. When I want to play any of those systems, I set my TV to the INPUT 1 channel and turn on the system, and use the smaller knob to select the imput and the larger one to select volume. All three play over surround sound, along with the DVD player. I can switch between DVD and PS2 with the push of a button. It took all day yesterday, but it's all working now and it is INCREDIBLE! I love my set up. Oh, and the gaming chair... I have a wireless broadcaster that plugs into the audio cable that hooks into the TV, so all the systems controlled by the AV amp can be routed to my chair at any time without having to switch plugs. I love the system in my room, and it contains about 40% of all the game stuff in my house.

Good call with the black Dreamcast. It looks much sweeter without the Sega Sports logo.

What is an "epic 56k warning"? Is it to warn people that there are pictures and the page might not load quickly? I'm not trying to be funny, I'm just stupid!

Anyway, how comfortable is that chair? Does it rock? I mean, does it rock back and forth? If it is on the floor, do you have to bend your neck up to see the TV?

You've got a good set up (a lil small but not unorganized). :D

Yeah... I'm sorry but, who has 56k these days or, even in the last 5 years? :? I haven't had anything slower than 1meg since 1998 and I'm rockin' 100meg fiber-op now~

They are quite solid actually, I really enjoy playing Virtua Fighter with them.

The chair does rock back and forth, but it doesn't really have much neck support. You can see the TV just fine, but without a head rest you neck hurts after a while.

The whole 56K warning was just making sure some people with slow internet don't try to load all 7 pictures without knowing it would load slowly. I haven't used 56K since the 90s, but I have friends who still do. Who knows? Maybe somebody around here gets on Racketboy with a Dreamcast. I know I would if I didn't already have broadband.
