Anyone here played this?
I can't believe I played this in the Amiga, that is such a cruddy port compared to the original on the MSX. The MSX game I think didn't age very well, but you can sort of see why it is considered a classic by some.

Thexder
Re: Thexder
I've played the Famicom version. It's a pretty cool game but quite challenging.Ivo wrote:Anyone here played this?

It's called Thexder 95 or something, by Sierra. It's still 2D though (the graphics may be made up of 3D). If you search thexder on wikipedia I think you will find the remake.Majors wrote:I remember playing it on my buddies 8088 on a CGA monitor...talk about back in the day. I also remember what I thought was the sequel that was 3D, I thought it was put out by Sierra but I can't google any info.

I remember it we played it on a CGA monitor, but it was polygon, Tomb Raider view. You could transform, robot-tank-jet but if you hit a wall as the jet, you'd turn into the robot or tank form. It might have been a special stage of Thexder. It must have been around '89, so the 95 remake is a no-go. I also remeber the box has some crazy japanese dude/creators, I swear it was a Seirra/Dynamix<?> release.Ivo wrote:Majors wrote:still 2D though (the graphics may be made up of 3D).
