Meanwhile people are complaining about the acting in Yggdra Union on PSP, which I actually think it sounds pretty decent, at least as far as low budget jRPGs go.

There's worse in Robot Alchemic Drive for the PS2. I think that may have been on purpose, though.

That was horrible, kinda like a high school play or something. But why the hell was the dude called Nicole?

At least bad voice acting can be funny if you're in the right mood or acceptable if the gameplay is perfect; while bukkake is neither acceptable nor funny.

I refuse to believe that voice acting can be THAT bad intentionally...especially when you look at the script. It must be some kind of tongue-in-cheek comedy.
Could it possibly be some kind of mockery of poor voice acting?

If you look in the manual, much of the dubbing was done by the CEO and his immediate family - his children included. Everything was low-budget - O3 isn't a big company, they couldn't even get Radio Allergy released here. It was done just so this game could actually be released stateside.

That's why the original voice acting was included.
