Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Question about my new DS...

Post by Chickensuit »

Hey, i just bought a like new black dslite out of the local classified adds with one game (monster jam... sucks:), for $65.

Anyway, i have a couple questions...
1. game recommendations... what are the best games
2. I remember a thread a while back about flash carts for the DS, I would like to get into that,
so I was wondering if you guys could help me out a little.

What is the best flash cart out there, and where is the best place to purchase it?

I currently have a supercard mini sd for my gba and i think you can get an adapter (slot 1) to make it play ds games, would that be the best option, or is there some better (still affordable) option i should take?

Thanks for your help guys

Suggestions for games here, but I don't know what you like. These are my favourites right now:

Ninja Gaiden
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! (both 1 and 2 are perfect)
Bleach: The Blade of Fate

These are great too:

Glory Days 2
Contra 4
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
"Your vessel, your beginning. All that you knew...is gone." - The Guardian of Forever

My DS collection is somewhat weak. But I would like to discourage you from buying Children of Mana. It lacks the depth and charm of Secret of Mana. I bought it on a whim and totally regretted it.

Also, if you like RPGs, there will be an update on Final Fantasy IV out in July. From what I've heard/read, it will be an update similar to that of FF3. (This is another game I wouldn't buy, unless you enjoy job systems and the endless level grind.) I plan on getting it since I loved FFIV on the SNES back in the day.

New Super Mario Bros. is pretty good, but ridiculously easy. Zelda is great and the controls are excellent. But having to constantly return to the SAME dungeon throughout the game gets pretty old.

I would recommend Metroid Prime H but it lost its appeal since DS FPS's have been starting to come out more as of late.

I just recived a SuperCard DS One it has a mini sd slot on it and you can play ds games easily.

As for games... I am currently playing FF3... I enjoy the grind but have yet to master the whole job system.
