Any good vampire games you know of?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Any good vampire games you know of?

Post by corn619 »

Aside from the Castlevania series, anyone know any really good but maybe lesser known vampire games for any console including PC? I just saw 30 Days of Night which was the best vampire movie I ever saw IMO and I'm craving a good vampire game any suggestions?

Vampire Savior/Darkstalkers, Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption and Bloodlines, and Vampire Night are what comes to mind.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the original Xbox. Very good beat'em up and captures the feel of the show pretty well. It's got a fairly deep combat system and one of the cool things about the game is finding ways to use the environment to kill your enemies. Yes, you can toss a vamp onto a stake or into sunlight and watch them turn to dust. Of course, the old fashioned stake to the heart is satisfying too and seeing that cool dusting effect from the show in video game form is fantastic. If you're just looking to keep vampire ass, this game is pretty much what you need.

Capcom's Darkwatch has received favorable reviews, if you like shooters. I think the main character is a vamp, there's a very goth, western vibe to the game

The Bloodrayne games are popular with some people, but other people hate them. The first one is sort of a third person shooter, and the second a bit more of a beat'em up. Both games are competant, not necessarily great, but decent. You play as a vamp and you can even feed on people. Both games are pretty violent, with blood and guts being pretty much a constant sight

Ooh, I didn't think of that. I remember LOK Soul Reaver on the PS 1. That game kicked ass

I'll second the LOK games. And I loved Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines... but it was a bit glitchy at launch and I don't know if they have cleaned it up with a patch or not.
