What were they supposed to do? Move him? I'm pretty sure they taught us not to move an injured person back in elementary. They called 9/11, and the cop showed up fast. What more could they do? Aside from directing traffic, which they seem to start to do after the initial shock wore off.
Still what was that guy doing? If you're going to j-walk, do it efficiently and not all fucking zigzagged and diagonally. Retard. I've almost hit so many morons who try to pull this kind of shit. We have sidewalks and crosswalks for a god damn reason.

The people that actually seemed concerned didn't seem to surface until like 40 secs later.
The first batch of people seemed to have cared less.

Digger JonGalt said it best.
All of you are ASSHOLES, with a few exceptions. People were helping him, They called the police and didnt touch him, what if he had spinal injuries? Would you rather he severed his spinal cord? The police were called 4 times in less than 1 minute and arrived in roughly 1:15 minutes.
Everyone crying that "America has no moral compass" needs to grow a brain and pull thier heads out of the news medias *****. These bystanders probably did the best job they could.
If I get hit and im lying in the road do this:
1.) DONT ***** TOUCH ME!!!!!
2.)Call the police.
3.) DONT ***** TOUCH ME!!!!!
4.) Repeat steps 1-3 until emergency crews arrive.

The worst part about all this, it appears he got hit because someone wasn't patient enough and decided to pass in a lane they shouldn't of. People on the DIGG page are saying he should of used a crosswalk, but the two cars were driving recklessly and the crossed a double line. Asshole drivers are becoming a huge problem these days. I can't count how many times I've almost been in a wreck because someone was just too impatient.
Of course, the two cars could of been fleeing from a previously committed crime. Anyone know if that was the case?

I guess that's a good point, but if I happened to be there, I would at least gotten a little closer to him and maybe go looking to see if I could see the car that hit him... Of course it's one of those things that happens so far, but it just seemed rather odd....Mozgus wrote:Digger JonGalt said it best.

That car was LONG gone dude. I'm sure it was 10 blocks gone before that cop showed up.racketboy wrote:I guess that's a good point, but if I happened to be there, I would at least gotten a little closer to him and maybe go looking to see if I could see the car that hit him... Good points. I didn't mean to imply the driver wasn't at fault as well. A person doesn't usually get messed up this bad without both parties at fault. Still it's very weird how 2 cars at once were illegally passing at that moment. You're right that there could be a bigger story at hand. I always let drivers pass me. I follow speed limits as best I can, and people always pass me at around 10-15mph over the limit. I'll never understand why people build their lives up to such a level of business that they need to drive like that everyday of their (hopefully short) lives. I'm so nervous and cautious on the road, and I never even started driving until I was about 21, because I just never had a big enough need for a car. Or maybe I was just putting it off for as long as I could.Flak Beard wrote:The worst part about all this, it appears he got hit because someone wasn't patient enough and decided to pass in a lane they shouldn't of. The late response has probably due to the initial shock, kind of like President Bush when he was informed of the 9/11 attack. In addition, people in American don't seem to want to get involve. In psychology, I've learned that in a crowded space, people always relegate the responsibility to someone else. When everyone in a group assume that someone else will take care of the problem, no one will take care of the problem.
In Canada, there is a law that cars have to watch out for people no matter what. It always mess me up when I drive in Canada as people just cross the street without even looking both ways or for cars. In America, I dare you to do that. As a rule of caution, I always look both way before crossing the street. I don't trust drivers with my life as they have a car to protect themselves. Me, I got nothing and would likely be a cripple if I got involved in an accident.
