After today I think I'm going to start donating more clothes to the Thrift Store. After dropping off a number of old clothes. I asked the gentlemen working if they'd gotten any games in since the last time. He said "Like the Wii?" to which I replied no Nintendo or Genesis. He thought he might so he went and took a look and pulled out all of this:

The games all work.
The NES works great!
The Gameboy looks great, the screen is a little light.
Saturn didn't have cords but I'm being optimistic that it will once I get them.
All the controllers work great!
One Genesis control is even Brand New! Never been used.
The kicker is he even threw in that pink plastic bag in the background for FREE! to Help me carrying my games.
To say I'm stoked would be an understatment.
Anyone else have any good finds in the wild lately?

My find for the week was this, for $45:
The SNES is complete and in excellent condition. None of the games needed to be cleaned and look like new. Whoever donated this took pretty good care of their stuff. The boxed games do not have manuals though and the boxes themselves are in pretty rough shape.
I already have an SNES and several of those titles (Super Mario World, Aladdin, Lion King, Super Star Wars.) Some of the others are really crappy kids games. Still, I've been on the lookout for Mario Kart and was thrilled to get it. I'm also really happy about the Empire Strikes Back and Tetris 2. I figure I can turn the system and doubles around on ebay and get most of my investment back. Kind of a hassle but if it works out, I will get three games that I wanted (plus some I didn't necessarily want) for really cheap or maybe even make a modest profit.

Thats an great find. Much much much better than what I got the other day. I think the Mario Allstars is actually kinda valuble now. I think I saw it for like $50 at a store.
I recentlly got my first Sega Saturn at goodwill for $15 bucks. No cords included but I found a controller that had $2 written on it, so I just plugged it into the system and they didnt charge me for it.
Personally I cant stand Goodwill. I think it is insaine how much they charge for items that ARE GIVEN TO THEM FOR FREE! (100% profit)How many times I have seen them charging $100 and up for 15 year old stereo recievers and tvs. And they have never ever budged on a price for me. Its not good-will, its just a big money making scam. Sorry about the rant but dont even get me started on Pawn shops.
St. Vincint De Paul in Cincinatti Ohio was the best thrift store I had ever seen. Now they truely did do "good will". Thats where I got an 8 piece sectional couch for $35. Looked brand spanken new. Thats also the place I passed up a $5 Sega Saturn. I guess we all make mistakes.

You obviously don't know what Goodwill is all about. I regularly shop at two Goodwills in neighboring cities and each prices their stuff differently. I don't think they have a uniform system. I've gotten so many awesome deals at each that I have to strongly disagree with the too pricey assessment. Maybe the ones in your area just suck.
