Megaman X Collection - PS2, Gamecube

Post by racketboy »

It's out!

Anybody played these?
I have the ROMs and ISOs for most of the games but haven't even bothered to give them a try.

I've played a bit of the original Megaman games on the NES, but I have a hard time getting use to the mechanics...

Megaman (Rockman) will always be my favorite platformer. I love Sonic, but Megaman is much more fun to me. Racket, I can't believe you've never beaten a single Megaman X game before! Go now, go and play Megaman X and get all the items. I don't care what system you use, just play it and tell me what you think.

It is a good game despite some negative reviews that one may come across on the net. If you have a Hori Gamecube controller (the one that looks like a SNES pad) then you will want to get the GC version. If Action Replay codes are your thing then go for the PS2. The Mega Man games are still challenging to this day.

I love the Mega Man series, but the X series just never appealed to me. I'll pass.

The way I see it... You either hate the series and not play it, or secretly detest the series because of its repetition and insane plot problems but play all of them anyways.

I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. If I had nothing else to play I wouldn't mind it, but it never seemed to get the fun factor of the classic series down. I did, however, like the wall-jump and dash.
