Is it possible to swap memory info from ps2 to and from ps3?

for example, i have a ps2 and just bought gran turismo 3 and i noticed that there's an option to trade cars you have bought/unlocked with other people/memory cards. but my friend only has a ps3. if he bought gran turismo 3 and saved his game on the ps3 virtual memory card or whatever, is there any way we could trade cars?

okay i found it on amazon. so if he bought one of those, could we trade from my memory card strait to his hard drive? or would i have to take his memory card to my ps2 and plug them both into that for trades?

you can probably trade on the PS3, but yea it would probably be best if he copied his data on the card then took it to your house.
