so this stuff isn't set in stone yet ...

Image

due to space concerns, the atari, nes, snes, genesis, master system, and N64 are all tucked in the garage and i play those games on emulators through my mac mini .

the gamecube also went to live in the garage since i got my wii .

Image

here's a close up of my crap

the wires from the front of the amp run to my next favourite toys

Image

but anyways .... since where everything is place isn't set in stone, i didn't run the cabling for the decks through the walls yet ..

and i haven't figured out where i want to keep the couch, so i didn't install my ceiling mounted speakers yet ...

but i did permanently decide that i want my controllers here
Image

and they will probably be on the other side of that window for symmetry (and to fit more controllers that lay on the floor) .

and last but not least, i'm trying to figure out how to make this ikea thing http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S29848050

fit above the fireplace, so i can drop the tv lower and get a rotating lcd mount so i can play ikaruga proper .

Cool -- what do you use to hold the controllers? (where'd you get them, manufacturer, etc ?)

they are "fire extinguisher hangers" as the only identifying mark from my local hardware store

they came with red rubber on the legs ... slit the rubber with a razor and slide off ...

get a can of plasti-dip

bend the two arms of the "fire extinguisher hangers" out slightly to comply with the contours of your controllers

then dip the hangers in the plasti-dip color of your choice (it won't come out perfect, but you will only ever see the very ends of the hangars)

That's awesome. I might have to do the controller hanger. I've just got way too many.

Yes, I agree. That is a cool way to hang your controller and save some space. BTW, do you have to punch any holes in the wall??? I really don't want to do that, although I love the idea. I have too many controllers and they get tangled up a lot of time.

you have to put screws in the wall

i'd recommend drywall anchors or they'll just fall under all that controller weight

you could probably use gorilla glue but if you ever want to move them, you'd ruin the wall

i'd got another 4 controllers i'm going to hang on the other side of the TV once i figure out a new mounting method for the TV

i have way more controllers than that, but it's rare to ever have more than 2 people that want to play a game at the same time .

Are those wireless Logitech PS2 controllers? Have you been pleased with them?
