I preordered the MGS4 and have the beta code. Since I don't have a PS3, it would go to waste anyway. If anyone who wants it, then PM me and I will send it to you.

This is very deceiving....the code is actually for a beta of Metal Gear Online. OH well, I'm still happy =P
Once it finishes downloading and I play it a little I'll post how it plays. Unfortunately I'm leaving tomorrow for a couple of days so there may not be an update for awhile >.<

Sorry about that. I am such a big MGS fan. I thought everyone here also knew it was for Metal Gear Online. Regardless, I hope it will make you a fan of the series after you've played it, if you aren't already.

Quite understandable as COD4 is he shiznit!!! Not into FPS, but I saw it yesterday at a friend's house and love it so much. Just not enough to buy a PS3, but MGS4 might do it.

Anyway, why don't you play COD4 with your Dad for the right to the PS3??? It'll give you some fatherly bonding with him while at the same time give him some humility when you school him, unless he owns your ass, literally and metaphorically. HE HE HE.

BTW, forgot to mention. Download is available from April 17th to May 5th 2008. GAMEPLAY available from April 21st to May 5th 2008. So you have a couple of days left before you can play the game. Tell your Dad that you really want to play MGO but because you love him so much, you will let him play COD4 until April 21st. You'll win yourself some brownie points and he will be happy. A win-win situation!!!

Well, what can you do??? The man did give you life. You can't say no to someone like that.

Man, I wish my dad would play game with me or anyone in my house for that matter. No one is a gamer in my house except me. Playing by yourself can get really boring quick, unless it is an RPG or strategy game.

I'm so glad that we don't have to bother with any of that code shit.

I went into Game about 2 month ago asking if they were pre-ordering the ltd ed MGS 4 and they just looked at me blankly. I then asked them if they knew about the beta code for pre-ordering which warrented more blank stares. I then asked are they at least pre-ordering (phonetically and very slowly) Meh-Tahl Gee-eerr Soll-lid foouurr stand-derrd eh-dish-uhn. "we haven't been given our allocation for Metal Gear Solid 4. We don't have a standard or a limited edition"

I proceded to bang my head on the counter in frustration. Well, I was tempted to bang their heads onto the counter instead but I would probably have been kicked out of the shopping centre.

It's currently downloading on my PS3 back home, ready for when I finish all my University work and go back home again. Can't freaking wait!

What is this game store you speak of??? They need to fire some of those people. Unfortunately, I hear these kind of story too often. Funny as hell. AH HAAH.
