Seems like they haven't nailed the controls:

Will Samba De Amigo Wii Disappoint?
It's never gonna be as good as the maracas obviously. From what I have read on the Wii version dual wiimotes is the way to go, not wiimote and nunchuck.
I think it'll be great. They'll be people complaining about it doens't have the same visceral feeling... But you shouldn't expect that when you're using the remote not the maracas.

Considering you have the built-in speaker and the rumble function, I think using two wiimotes could be quite a tactile experience when compared to using maraccas. Granted, I'm not sure if Gearbox is going to take advantage of that aspect, but if they do, it could be great. While it may not be as good as the original, I think it's definitely something that should be made. I'm glad Gearbox is doing it to, since they know how to make a good game, and since this is approximately a port, it should be a great. Part of the thing about nailing a game like this is that it does take a while for the controls to get to a solid point. Granted, SEGA has pulled out some shitters in the past couple of years, but still, considering GearBox is at the head, I'm assuming it'll all get sorted out.

I think they'e planning on Wiimote + Nunchuk, not 2x Wiimote. But I'd venture to say that you're right, that could be really sweet. I also agree that games like these do need plenty of time to develop tight controls.metaleggman wrote:Considering you have the built-in speaker and the rumble function, I think using two wiimotes could be quite a tactile experience when compared to using maraccas. As Daniel already said, both forms of playing are implemented. It's cool because then you can use two wiimotes and make your friends use the wiimote+nunchuck and own their asses.elph wrote:I think they'e planning on Wiimote + Nunchuk, not 2x Wiimote. Lol, too bad I don't want my wiimotes to be turned into plasma! Or mebe he's modded them with some sweet LEDs or cold CRTs.

sounds like a cool way to get more people to play the game. Might not be the SAME as the original controllers but fun in its own way. Hopefully they implement some motion control beyond simply emulating the maracas. Wii Fit pad to measure your dance moves??
