Survival horror games any suggestions?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Survival horror games any suggestions?

Post by corn619 »

I love horror games and I was wondering if anyone can recommend any lesser known ones for any console. I've played all the Silent Hills, Fatal Frames and Resident Evils and a lot of horror games for the PS2. Any sleepers you know of?

I've heard good things about the Condemned games. I also know someone who raves about Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the Earth.

But really, survival horror games are everywhere these days. That is to say, most games are so terrible that they will horrify you, and you may not survive their raw shittiness.

I loved Call of Cthulhu, too. Not-so-much Condemned, though, for whatever reason. Both are worth a shot, though.

You might try Siren for the PS2. I haven't played it, but I heard someone talking about the other day.

Carrier on the DC was okay. Some people like it...but really it's just a knock-off of Resident Evil (back when RE was unique (except RE was a ripoff of Alone in the Dark, right?)).

Illbleed for DC. Yeah, the graphics look a bit dated, and the controls are a bit frustrating at times, but considering when it came out, it really was a breath of fresh air. You'll especially love the game if you grew up watching B-horror movies. It's got that kind of feel.

If looking on the PS2 you could try Kuon and Cold Fear.
