X-Box Mod for $50

Found a local guy who will mod my x-box for $50 on Craigslist

Is this a good deal?
What advantages would it be to have my original X-box modded?

Wow $50 seems awefully expensive for something that can be done for free...

no. u need the eeprom. also mobo/hdd are forrver un seperable unless u have that.

I'd like to do this as well, but it seems I have to purchase a few things first. What does your softmod kit consist of? I try not to sink any money into something I'll never use again.

$10 rental, you borrow splinter cell and a memory card with the exploit.

And all I would need is my X-box, with my standard hard drive? Afterwards, it would read both backups and I could install emulators to the hard drive? Could I still store game saves on the hard drive as well?

Sounds interesting. Makes me want an X-BOX too. Share with us your know how vlame. Will soft mod allow me to play mame on the X BOX cuz that is the only reason why I would be interested in buying one and thus selling my soul to Microsoft. :lol:
