We use to have a non-gaming "finds" thread, but I can't find it now. I'm not sure if it was deleted, or I just can't find it, but either way I don't think a new thread could hurt.
Post your non-gaming related finds in this thread! It can be anything (as long as you follow the forum's rules). An awesome deal, something you found or were given for free, or something you overpaid for but just want to show it off anyway.
Post your non-gaming finds here!
Re: Post your non-gaming finds here!
I got 2 PCs out of a dumpster the other day. I know what you're all thinking... ziggy, PCs, go figure. But computer stuff is usually the best things that I find in dumpsters.

The one with the Rosewill power supply is some kind of Dell micro ATX tower. It has a Core i7 and Vista sticker on the case, so my guess would be an early generation i7 CPU. And with a GTX 580, that could make an awesome retro XP gaming machine as-is (assuming everything works).
The other one is an unknown CPU, but it's actually the same case I used for a computer I built in 2009, so I'd assume it's something from around that year. It has an MSI motherboard, some kind of GTX 960 GPU, and two Crucial SSDs.
Unfortunately both towers are missing the side panels, but I think they're full of useful parts. I'll probably end up plundering the parts I want out of them, and maybe get rid of the rest.

Great bin finds!
The unknown CPU is in an LGA 1155 chipset board, so it is most likely an Ivybridge (3rd Gen) cpu in there. Since it is paired with a 960, my money is on a i5 3550!

Those Cooler Master CPU coolers really are ubiquitous!
I own too many hoodies jackets hoodies and DS games and I’m not ashamed!
