They turned Schwarzenegger and Stallone into anime. I'm still hopeful that they put BR-N9 in as DLC. I still think Konami sucks now. I like that they are starting to make their IPs available to be published again, but why budget rehash no-effort crap? Just open the pocketbooks to IntiCreates and tell them to bring on a couple of homebrewers as consultants. I know their bread and butter is slot machines (My dad's a big fan) but there's an eager fanbase for even just upgrading their old games to keep the gameplay. I'm kinda pissed off that their crappiest NES game my younger brother rented accidentally and we had to play is being sold again. Felix for NES was never worth playing. Glad they didn't abandon videogames, but I dread them giving Silent Hill to a random budget Korean company to be a turn-based card game on cellphones.
WayForward is doing the new Contra. They aren’t as tight as IntiCreates on gameplay but it should look and move nicely at the very least, and interviews with the game’s director sure makes it sound like WayForward is taking it seriously.

WayForward made Contra 4, which is arguably the best Contra game; so, they have some experience with the series too.
I'd love to see their other licensed games from the arcade and 8/16-bit consoles get rereleased. Their licensed arcade beatemups still slap to this day, especially X-Men and The Simpsons. And their work with the Bucky O'Hare IP was amazing.
I'd also love to see Snatcher and Policenauts get from-the-ground-up remakes.
One of the key problems we're going to run into, here, is that Konami has largely stripped themselves of any development capabilities outside of maybe a mobile team and their casino games teams. They no longer have console-capable developers, and all the folks who would have designed games are now gone or in executive-level positions. That's why all of Konami's re-releases have been handled by outside teams. The only way for Konami to really re-develop that capacity in-house would be for them to commit to being a console developer again, and they're not going to do that. The returns just aren't there for them. Konami is much more comfortable in gambling and they were for years before they left console game development.
