"That scene" in John Wick 4 inspired by this game

So one of the standout action sequences in the movie no doubt resonated with gamers, as we watched an overhead tracking shot of Baba Yaga slaughtering goons with the "Dragon's Breath" weapon.

I actually thought of Hotline Miami. Close but no cigar, as the game which inspired the director for this scene is actually itself partially inspired by Hotline Miami (as well as John Woo films). That game is The Hong Kong Massacre. I have played it by the way, it's worth checking out. It's Hotline Miami meats Max Payne with shades of Stranglehold

On a related note, the movie also gave me strong Cowboy Bebop vibes, but I can't confirm that this was intentional
