What does the RE: Remake after next look like?

I was listening to the Giant Bombcast this week and they brought up an interesting point.

So we have rumors circulating that RE3 might be getting the remake treatment that RE2 did. That's a pretty reasonable guess given how well RE2: Remake did.

The question is: Where do they go from here?

With RE4 so heavily beloved, do they remake that next and risk fan ire? RE4 is so different from the first set of games, what does an RE4: Remake even look like?

Do they remake a more divisive game like RE:0? Do they hit up Code Veronica?

I don't really have a horse in the Resident Evil race, but I did enjoy Revelations and RE4, so the question of "what could a RE4 Remake look like if it exists?" was a fun thought experiment I thought I'd carry over here. I know RB has many RE aficionados after all~

Code Veronica. RE0 had a remake and is part of the HD collection pack. I doubt they remake REmake again. Code Veronica is an obvious choice. Hard to do HD ports of PS1 games and even Code Veronica and people think it still looks good.
RE4 I doubt gets a remake. They re-release it all the time on everything including the Zeebo. That makes enough money as is if they want some quick cash they just release another port, it just works. The game still looks fine. RE2-3 were PS1 games and Code is an early DC game. They look like it. They can easily benefit from a remake. RE4 and REmake/0 not so much.

That was a remaster. I agree with you on Code Veronica though, I loved that one (my first proper RE I played through from start to finish) and I would love to see it remade.

I also vote for a remake of the original Resident Evil Remake. 'REmake the remake'.

I would love for code veronica to get the RE2make treatment. It is the only RE game I have never played and I think it is too clunky to go back and play now. I'm sure RE3make is next and it will be awesome, if it sells well CV is the next logical step.

I don't see them being able to remake part 4, as has been mentioned before, it is the first "modern" RE and holds up nicely today, I dont think they could do that much with it.
