What he said. I still play PS1 and older on a crt in the bedroom because 1.they look like shit on a hd tv 2. the old consoles are obviuosly designed for a 4:3 tv not 16:9.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. Plasma, LCD, flat panel or deep, brand name, retailer...? Lots of things that account for price beyond the inches.

rear-projection mitsubishi
brand doesn't matter to me....in years of having different TV's it doesnt seem to make much of a difference.

well I just threw in a random figure. thats about how much I'll budget when I do the next round of a/v upgrades [I am no longer a college student, I can afford nice things]. I should've done the TV before the stereo, but I've never owned anything nicer than a boombox my whole life and I went a bit overboard with it [decent onkyo reciever, biggest of the big polk speakers all around, oppo dvd player, sangean hd receiver, 2 big boy terk antennas, nikko rack mount preamp and eq, all on fancy cabling, and a decent voltage regulator].

eitherway I'm in the middle of remodling my house so the next round of toys is still 6 months away

currently its sitting like this

ubelaffe, no idea how many nes carts I have. I'm currently missing a few boxes of carts. But I should have around 200 on hand. Its far from everything but its just about every single game that matters.
