Modern games You'd want demakes of?

Not modern retro, or retro style but more along the lines of Chinese Final Fantasy VII or Brazillian Mega Drive games. A modern game but made for old hardware.
For example, that I proposed to some friends of mine. A Genesis version of Yakuza, maybe as a Rent a Hero hack.

Halo 2600 is probably the best example of a demake done right in my opinion. I'd also love to see Breath of the Wild fully demade in the original LoZ style. Seeing the newer Wolfenstein and Doom games demade in the 32-bit style would be dope, too, but that would be a pretty impressive bit of homebrewing.

I'd like to see Destiny demade using Phantasy Star Online's engine. Boom!

These "Souls" games people rave about would be 100 times better in 2D with bump combat.

Am I making this up? I feel like a couple of years ago I read something about Capcom making a demake one one of the Resident Evil games in the style of Sweet Home. I think it was going to be a mobile game or something?

I remember 20 years ago someone did a demake of DOOM with it being kind of like the Alien Carnage or even Alien 3(SNES) style side scrolling kill anything that moves semi-maze like structure to the stages which was cool.

I'd take that with the modern Doom game and engine in 2D (kind of like that Castlevania 3DS title.)

Breath of the Wild or even Skyrim being similar style would be solid.

I keep hoping that we'll get that mobile 'demake' of FF XV ported to the Switch, honestly.
