Top 25 Fighters in Retro Gamer soon...

Post by strideristhebest »

People may be interested to know that there's going to be a Top 25 fighters in the next issue of Retro Gamer. Fans of Street Fighter 2 may get a little upset though

SF3: Third Strike should be near the top, but I don't know about at the top. SSF2T should maybe top the list, or maybe KOF 98.

A cheap CPU opponent can ruin a single-player experience, but let's face it, since when has the single-player experience been the defining one when it comes to fighters? The real play experience, where it SHOULD count, is when you play against others.

And I think it's just as good as Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. Do you know how many matches of SF3 I've watched which were dominated by Yun players? It's just obnoxious.

Actually, I'd also nominate Garou: MoTW to come out near the top of the list as well.

I second that but for me The Last Blade is the greatest 2D fighter of all time. MOTW is a great game too but I've never gotten into it like I have with The Last Blade.

Snk vs Capcom: MotM for the neo geo pocket color deserves a spot on that list.
