Wii controllers

Post by Kahokian »

Has anyone on here purchased the off brand Wii classic pro controllers? I am currently completing some games via backlog and also revisiting Xenoblade Chronicles. I know that the original factory model is obviously superior. I would like save funds for more Wii games I have missed.

It's almost never a good idea to buy generic controllers. I recommend you stick to the real deal.

THIS. In most circumstances first party tend to be the best quality. However, sometimes 3rd party have advantages. Take the Wii Nunchuck; some 3rd party gets rid of the stops allowing for smooth circular moves of the analog stick. There might be 3rd party Classic Pros as well that do not have the stops. I prefer the Nyco Kama over the original nunchuck.

I've never had any problem with any of Nyko's stuff (except the Wiimote charging docks, and I've had those fuck up fast from Nyko, Duracell, and Energizer). I've got one of Nyko's classic controllers, and I'd lose no sleep recommending them. First party is obviously better, but Nyko's not a bad alternative if they're cheaper.

Another option instead of the classic controller pro is the PS1/PS2 dual shock with mayflash adapter. It is the route I took for the same smooth circular analog stick movement just like the Nyco Kama nunchuck.
