Cleaning pinsets/cartridge connectors on consoles?

Post by Wanderer - Vega »

I dusted off my brother's Master System and I'm getting software errors because the cartridge connector on the console is so freaking dirty. It's got dust and probably dirt all inside of it. I need to clean it, but how would I go about doing so?

I'm thinking alcohol+q-tip, but that won't get inside the connectors -- what really needs cleaning, will it? If anyone has any ideas or cleaned cartridge connectors on other cartridge systems, please tell me how you did it.
