Panzer Dragoon Saga For Sega CD Snatcher, Fair Trade???

Post by peace4myheart »

A friend of mine has offered to trade me his mint copy of Sega CD Snatcher for my mint copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. I was just wondering if this is a fair trade or not. Thanx.

Bad... Snatcher had many copies made; PDS had 10,000 made for the US (IIRC).

there is no "moderate" choice.

On a collector's level, Snatcher is easier to come by.
On a gamer's level, that all depends on where your pleasure lays. Do you even like either title all that much?

PDS is some what a little overrated, not saying it's a bad game (I love it), but it is overrated. Then again so is Snatcher.

I wouldn't call this trade bad, nor would I call it a good deal. It's equal, the scale may sway side to side from day to day... but it averages out to about equal. They are both highly sought after amazing titles for cult consoles.

My concensus... screw your friend and steal his copy of Snatcher so you have both!

Well, I could always do that, stealing it I mean, but he is a good friend of mine and I am a man of conscience. Stupid conscience!!! :P Anyway, I remembered playing PDZ for like an hour but stopped because I just can't get pass the control. Now I kept it as a collector's item. Maybe I should go back and play it again. I have never played Snatcher before but I heard it has a great story and I am a big fan of Kojima-san storytelling style, i.e. MGS series. BTW, I heard there are like 15-20 thousand copies of PDZ as there were 2 or 3 subsequent releases after the first initial 10 thousands.

I really hope you guys are joking....
On a side note, Snatcher is easier to pirate and emulate :)

Snather is really cool, but it is just a Manga/Comic style story. Definately not worth swapping for Panzer Dragoon Saga. A swap plus 50-60 bucks would be decent, or have him throw in something else. Heck, I'd give you a hundred bucks for it and you can go buy a copy of Snatcher. Don't do it, not a good deal.

Just burn a copy of Snatcher and play it on your SegaCD. Decide that way.

I guess it is unanimous. NO DEAL HOWIE!!! (Howie from "Deal or No Deal", not my friend's name :P)

BTW, I want to start a Genesis collection. Does anyone know if the US Sega CDX can naturally output RGB without modding it??? I need to know before taking the plunge.

This is the planned setup. US Sega CDX $120, PAL SCART $20, PAL SCART to JPN RGB $30, JPN XRGB2 Plus Upconverter $200. Playing Sega Genesis and Sega CD games as it was intended, PRICELESS. :P

Will that setup work???
