Owlboy is out

Post by aaron »

I'm sorta tearing up. I remember reading about this game way, way, way back when JT first posted about it in an Indie Game thread six or seven years ago. My life was really, really different back then, and just thinking about the time that's passed is heavy. About to dive in and experience it for the first time, and it looks to be gorgeous. Anyone else playing it?

It warms my heart to finally see this game come to fruition. :)

The comparisons to Gargoyle's Quest have got me intrigued. The developer was smart enough to get the game on GOG too, so it's a sealed deal.

I have no idea what you are on about but with the post above mentioning the developer not being a shill and having it also up on GoG, I will go read up and see what has you all so interested. Drawing a comparisn to Gargoyles Quest I would consider a big plus as that model is rarely tapped.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Didn't think to look there. GOG.com seems to have pretty stringent requirements in regards what modern indie games are allowed so it's a safe bet this one's gonna be good. Hell, by the screenshots alone it's lookin' like a must-buy.

This game looks incredible. I'm definitely going to buy it, just not sure when.

For $30 you can get a physical version to own with some nice other perks. Or pay $30 on Steam and get a DRM wall and nothing. Does not seem like a hard decision on that one.
