Dragonball Z Hyper Dimension
Hello all, I just ordered this game from Japan and am very excited to play it. Though, I do not know too much about the game, what do you guys think of it? The graphics look pretty decent and its the last of the 16bit DBZ fighters, at least on the SFC, hows the gameplay? Thanks guys!
Re: Dragonball Z Hyper Dimension
I played a ROM of it in the later 90s and I remember it being fairly fun and it changes up the way charging/attacks worked versus the 3 previous fighters (of which the 2nd was best by a huge leap in quality and fighter selection.) Hyper Dimension on SFC added even more characters such as androids and freiza which was nice. I believe it was also a special chip game, SA1 or something so it has a good notable boost in quality like other late release SA1 games had like Mario RPG and the Kirby platformers.

Great to hear man, thanks for the input! Not much of a fighting game type of guy myself, but I'm really into the manga and anime, hoping the controls will be easy to get into!Tanooki wrote:I played a ROM of it in the later 90s and I remember it being fairly fun and it changes up the way charging/attacks worked versus the 3 previous fighters (of which the 2nd was best by a huge leap in quality and fighter selection.) If you want a REALLY good DBZ game, get Xenoverse! You won't be disappointed!fredthezombie wrote:Great to hear man, thanks for the input! If you've got to be stuck sometime, that's the time to be stuck.fredthezombie wrote:I'm kinda stuck in the 90's

Wait on the PS4, see if you can wrangle one around $200 NEW somehow then go for it, no need to rush as there's plenty of shared titles(ports) that are fine, remasters too, and a few unique games but the big ones that'll bury the competition come out this year forward.
You're better off being stuck in the 80s/90s with your systems. There's so much there with an ounce of self control you could slowly buy up, enjoy and crush dozens or hundreds of games and never feel at a loss for it.
Also those games just work and work well.
You don't need...
-To wait for downloaded updates fix it before playing
-...or to wait for it to install to a hard drive
-No forced online socialization
-Be stuck doing online multiplayer, couch is easier (and more civil)
-Games you can flick on and have started in under 15 seconds (not a minute or three+)
-Plenty of buttons, but not enough you need a training mode with to get warmed up
-No forced online authentication(DRM) to play a single player game
-All games you buy you actually own, have in hand, and can do whatever you want with
The list goes on.

Agreed, My Genesis/CD/32X and SNES are the only systems Ive used in quite sometime. I figure with classic systems; If I play games chronological to time period, I'll never run out of games. although once I get my copy of Shenmue 3 I'll be getting a PS4.Tanooki wrote:Wait on the PS4, see if you can wrangle one around $200 NEW somehow then go for it, no need to rush as there's plenty of shared titles(ports) that are fine, remasters too, and a few unique games but the big ones that'll bury the competition come out this year forward.

Re: Dragonball Z Hyper Dimension
Hyper Dimension is almost unanimously considered the best of the 5(?) SNES DBZ titles
