I don't type correctly with my right hand
The reason why I make so many spelling errors is simply that I don't know how to type with my right hand. I only use two fingers and I often move the hand awkardly to accomodate for that. It's even worse when typing in French and Spanish because I can barely hit the accent keys without tripping.
How can I fix that? I've been doing it wrong for so long I don't know what to do.

When was the last time you really sat down and went over the home keys on your keyboard? Start doing some typing exercises where you have to use your ring finger to hit keys like L and O.

Did the lazy lion lackadaisically loom, and then partake in lapping a mild liquid from the large obloid bowl?
Try typing that 10 times as fast and accurately as possible.
Each time you blow it, start over. Clear 10, add 10. Hands have to stay in the proper place and set a goal WPM to not fall under or you fail as well.
That question of a sentence will engage your last 2 fingers of the right hand quite a bit and force you to learn to do it right. Lots of O and P in that along with the comma and question mark for the downward reach.
...and I just made up that line too, just popped in my head. In all fairness I don't hold my hands in the right place more or less either but figured out how to go very fast and accurately when typing a document without much use of the right pinky at all.

My typing style comes from years of playing/admining on a Halo server and needing to type really fast or risk getting killed
. Playing some games like Typing of the Dead probably wouldn't hurt since the key to quick typing is getting yourself to familiarize your fingers with the locations of the keys without having to look down.
I have kind of a weird typing style since certain fingers are devoted to odd keys such as my pinky which I hardly ever use since I always used it for "CTRL"(crouch) so it rests on the shift key as opposed to a like they recommend. I have kind of big hands to so lining all my fingers up on asdf is a pain anyways since they would end up rubbing knuckles while I typed.

I find the default positions you're meant to rest you fingers really uncomfortable.
I also find the standard WASD keyboard controls in PC games really uncomfortable.
Keyboards are uncomfortable.

I type very quickly but "incorrectly." I use my index fingers and thumbs exclusively. I don't know if accuracy is really tied to proper typing technique.

Re: I don't type correctly with my right hand
I have clocked in at over 110 wpm with an average of around 95 wpm with little to no mistakes. If you see any in my posts that is because I am typing on my phone and that is just a bunch of garbage.
The best way to type right is to play typing games like type to learn, Mavis beacon etc. They teach you how to type right. When you have that down, play games like typing of the dead or icarus proudbottom teaches typing to increase your speed.
The problemm with learning now is that you have to overcome your muscle memory and bad habits.
P.s. I am typing on my phone, so yes... this post probably looks like garbage haha.

Accuracy by itself isn't, but the combination of speed and accuracy is. "Proper" typing technique keeps several fingers busy and provides for good range of access across the keyboard with only a few awkward keys presenting issues. I find it makes a huge difference. Also, it's much easier to type without looking, which means you will see your mistakes on-screen a lot more quickly and be able to correct them on the spot without a lot of re-typing.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I type very quickly but "incorrectly."
